I’ve mentioned several times that my current definition of wisdom is seeing things from God’s perspective. My mental image is of a high vantage point, that gives a view of not just around the corner, but of the whole road, from beginning to end. Another mental image is of a human-sized maze – from God’s perspective, the path is obvious, and it’s easy to know which way to turn at ever corner.
A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions.
The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.
(Proverbs 22:3 NLT)
I don’t know about you, but I’m really tired of suffering the consequences of the simpleton. Let’s be diligent about seeking God’s wisdom for every aspect of our lives.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
