Former Formula 1 racer Sergey Sirotkin has been called up by ART Grand Prix to replace the quarantined Christian Lundgaard for the upcoming Formula 2 test in Bahrain.
Lundgaard is set to step up to the championship this year but is stranded in Tenerife after an outbreak of the Covid-19 virus in the hotel in which he was staying.
Lundgaard, who was attending a Renault Sport Academy training camp, has been given the all-clear by doctors but has not been permitted to leave.

He raced full-time for Williams in Formula 1 in 2018 and last season held a dual reserve role at McLaren and Renault.
Sirotkin rekindled his relationship with ART Grand Prix in sportscars last year as the team ran the SMP Racing operation.
“I am very pleased to receive such an offer from ART Grand Prix,” said Sirotkin.
“I admit, it was unexpected for me. I want to thank the team for choosing me among a large number of other drivers, and for its trust.
“I will be very pleased to be back behind the wheel of a racing car, and I will try to do a good job and help develop the machine with the new tyres, and in accordance with the new regulations.”
Formula 2’s opening pre-season test begins on Sunday.
